Richard Hétu is a self-taught artist, born in Sorel (Québec) in 1950, his paintings are impregnated of medieval ambiance where an abundant world of characters and animals, simultaneously real and surreal, bathes the whole in softness, bonhomie but particularly in great originality rooted in the Renaissance.
His work is frequently exposed in galleries since 1977 and has been the subject of many articles in Québec main specialized art magazines. Some of his paintings are also part of the permanent collections of the J. Armand Bombardier Museum, the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec and Société Radio-Canada.
